Water Network Engineer

Digital Water Solutions (DWS) implements cutting-edge operational management solutions for public and private sector water clients. These solutions involve the development of operational management software systems with embedded modelling technologies that forecast and facilitate the control of major water infrastructure. Our solutions provide a unique level of quality that add value to customer’s businesses as well as promote long-term sustainability.

DWS is growing rapidly and is seeking to employ a suitably qualified and capable Water Network Engineer to assist with the implementation of these solutions.

Key tasks will include project management, hydraulic model development, scripting, technical report writing and other associated tasks.

You will have strong technical knowledge of pipeline hydraulics for both pressurised and gravity systems, experience in master planning, as well as demonstrable competencies in GIS.  A background experience and knowledge of monitoring systems and network operations would be an advantage.

You will be personable with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners and the DWS team.

As the ideal candidate you will have:

  • Bachelor of Engineering;
  • 3-5 years post-graduate experience;
  • Experience in water and sewerage network hydraulic modelling and master planning;
  • Knowledge of monitoring systems;
  • Experience in network operations;
  • An interest in operational technology and solutions;
  • English communication skills for professional and courteous client contact; and
  • An ability to manage work activities and deliverables in a timely manner according to project schedule;
  • Experience in water resources modelling would be an advantage.

  • Self-motivated and the ability to work autonomously;
  • Quick learner;
  • Ability to apply sound, practical technical solutions to problems and meet deadlines;
  • Confidence with communications, both verbal and written;
